Research & Development
LeadNBFI operates a proprietary trading research lab and develops investment technology for retail investors. PropLab Research serves our internal research work. Viewe is our retail investment product in development.
The two initiatives have distinct roles: investigating systematic investment approaches and making investment information easier to understand.
Proprietary trading researchPropLab Research
Our private lab for systematic trading research.
PropLab Research is LeadNBFI’s proprietary trading research lab, used internally to investigate investment ideas and evaluate systematic strategies.
We use proprietary research workflows to formulate hypotheses, test their behaviour and examine how results change under different assumptions and market conditions. The work combines quantitative analysis with explicit evaluation criteria and risk controls.
Our focus is on the quality of the evidence: whether a finding is repeatable, how sensitive it is to the assumptions behind it, and where it breaks down.
The lab operates for internal use. Its research methods, findings and trading logic remain proprietary.
How we approach the research
Formulate
Define the investment hypothesis, assumptions and evaluation criteria.
Test
Examine historical behaviour and sensitivity to changing market conditions.
Challenge
Investigate uncertainty, robustness and alternative explanations for the result.
Record
Document the evidence and the reasons for advancing or rejecting a hypothesis.

Investment information is often scattered across accounts, statements and unfamiliar terminology. Seeing a return is straightforward. Understanding what contributed to it, how the portfolio has changed, and what deserves attention can take considerably more work.
Viewe is a retail investment app currently under development. It is designed to bring portfolio information together and help investors understand their performance through clearer tracking and investor communications.
The product grows out of a problem we have seen in financial communications: firms spend considerable time explaining investment information, while investors still struggle to find a clear picture of their own.
